This could be a promising prospect for Florida State to go after.

The wide receiver position was kind to Florida State last year, with the elevated play of the do-it-all Duce Robinson and speedster Micahi Danzy. Sophomore Jayvan Boggs has the talent to be successful, but injuries have been holding him back.

Obviously, it all comes down to the quarterback and whether they have more opportunities to be successful. It is great to have dynamic wide receivers, but they have to find a way to get the football.

Assistant coach Tim Harris Jr. has turned out to be a solid hire for the Seminoles. The former UCF wide receivers coach was thought to be here in Tallahassee because of Gus Malzahn. While he and Coach Malzahn have a relationship with one another, he still decided to stick around after Malzahn retired from Florida State.

Florida State's 2027 recruiting class doesn't have any wide receiver prospects committed yet, but the Seminoles are working on a couple of targets. Two that have been mentioned are four-star Sean Green and four-star Jabari Watkins.

While Watkins and Green are very much in play for Florida State, the Seminoles want to expand their board to include other targets as well. The coaching staff decided to offer three-star wide receiver Kaden Howard from Miami, Florida, on Monday afternoon.

As we have seen in the past, nothing is a slam dunk anymore with Florida State securing the other two wide receiver options. As a result, the Seminoles' coaching staff is trying to get as much talent as it can. Talent is a definition that has changed from Jimbo Fisher to now, but Mike Norvell could land a prospect from South Florida that could be worth the investment.

Howard is currently committed to Nebraska and has been pledged there since March. The encouraging part is that the wide receiver's only serious competition in the recruitment is UCF.

The playmaker is listed at 5'10" and 155 pounds, so he will have to improve his frame during his senior season. However, Howard had 25 receptions for 510 yards and seven touchdowns last year (according to MaxPreps).
