Florida State football had fantastic news this offseason, as the do-it-all pass catcher Duce Robinson decided to come back to the Seminoles for 2026. While it is massive for Robinson to return, the Seminoles want to establish the run to set up the pass.
Fans thought that Ousmane Kromah and Sam Singleton Jr. could be members of the running back room that could make a difference in 2026. However, offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn explained during a press conference after the conclusion of the season that he had a committee approach and wanted a workhorse back.
This told me that he liked the running back room, but he wanted to add another piece in the transfer portal to take over the carries. The Seminoles grabbed former Texas running back Quintrevion Wisner, who had production with the Longhorns.
Wisner had 2,000 total yards and ten touchdowns over the past two seasons with Texas, and he finished the regular season on a note against a College Football Playoff team in Texas A&M. While fans don't want the room to be crowded since they already have talented options there, Wisner is a productive back from the SEC who can make a difference in the backfield.
