FSU FOOTBALL WINS

Florida State did something that it hadn't done in over 400 days, as the Seminoles won a conference game. I never envisioned myself saying that statement, as Florida State is a proud program that has accomplished conference and national championships.

The Seminoles defeated Wake Forest on Saturday night by a score of 42-7 on Homecoming night in Tallahassee. The fan base had been through a roller coaster ride, with beating Alabama in the season opener then eventually losing four games in a row.

This is not something that the Florida State faithful wanted to see after they suffered through a 2-10 season last year. Some of the fan base has checked out after the losses (it happens), but the individuals who were in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday showed their support.

DOAK CAMPBELL STADIUM ROCKING

The capacity in Doak Campbell Stadium wasn't necessarily up to par for the Homecoming game, but the fan base found a way to bring the energy.

Section 104 of the stadium was virtually empty at the top rows. As a result, an individual went up to the empty section and took his shirt off and waved it around, like the fan did at Oklahoma State in their empty section.

Pretty soon, the fan base caught on, and you saw several students flocking over to the section to help out with the attendance. It was a fun moment that was captured on camera, as the Seminoles virtually had the game in hand with winning 42-7.

While I am not suggesting that the Seminoles are "back" like Cole did in the tweet above, it is great to see fun moments like this happen in Doak Campbell Stadium with the only home game remaining in the last four weeks.

The Wake Forest was fun to watch last night, but the Seminoles now have to turn their attention to Clemson on the road at night. Let's hope the fan base continues the energy in the last home game against Virginia Tech on Saturday, November 15th.
