Florida State football obviously did not have any postseason success, as it finished with a 5-7 record in 2025. However, the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes are in the College Football Playoff National Championship against the Indiana Hoosiers.
Fans don't want Miami to have any success, as the Hurricanes' fan base continuously bashes Florida State's program. Many of the fans of other program such as Florida, cheer on other programs in the conference because they are in the SEC. However, that is not the case for the Seminoles.
Miami fans want the program to return to the glory days of the early 2000's. They live in a time machine.
Florida State football fans are enjoying the Miami Hurricanes' struggles against Indiana
Miami is trailing the Indiana Hoosiers at halftime by a score of 10-0. The Hurricanes have tried to grind out their opponents with the running game, but they have only been able to muster 20 rushing yards on 12 carries thus far (according to ESPN Stats and Information).
Seminole fans are enjoying the struggles of their rival. Many individuals have shown their support for Indiana and quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

The Hurricanes have had their struggles in the game. The missed 50-yard field goal by Miami kicker Carter Davis had to be joy to the Seminole faithful. It is unbelievable that Davis can miss the field when the Hurricanes are in their home stadium.
There have been three personal foul penalties by Miami that Indiana head football coach Curt Cignetti mentioned at the halftime media interview. He does have a point that the Hurricanes' defense has been attacking quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
With all of the foul play, the Hoosiers still lead by a score of 10-0 at halftime. To make matters even better, Indiana receives the second-half kickoff. Florida State fans have to love the fact that the Hoosiers have shown their aggression against a Miami squad that wants to overwhelm opponents.
