What else is there to say about Mike Norvell and his time leading the Florida State Seminoles? This was supposed to be the season where he turned things around and got the Noles back to a high level. Instead, things have gone south pretty quickly.
On Friday night in primetime, Florida State fell to 5-6 on the year thanks to a deflating loss on the road against NC State. After the season-opening win in Tallahassee against Alabama, who thought FSU would be 5-6 at this point? It's a terrible look for everyone involved, but there are simply no more excuses left for Norvell.
Florida State football reached a new low with its loss to NC State
For a team that's supposed to be so well coached, special teams blunders and poor offensive play stood out. NC State is now bowl eligible with its win over FSU. On the other side of the field, Norvell and Co. now need a win in the regular season finale to reach bowl eligibility.
Is that even going to be enough to keep Norvell around? Fans might even prefer to lose next week so that there's no bowl game and the administration is forced to make the decision that people have been begging for. A quick look on social media once again shows that FSU fans have seen enough:

Mike Norvell is a joke of a coach. Team is undisciplined and lacks consistency. Florida State was a national power, and with Norvell they have been awful all but one year. That was based off a great defense and a great QB.

This is now the 10th straight loss for the Noles and Norvell away from Tallahassee. That is just ABSURD and it's something that should never be the case. Again, when FSU took down Alabama in late August, it felt like it was going to be a season to remember for the ACC side.
Instead, more of the same has been showcased for this team this campaign that supporters have been so frustrated with in previous years. The loss to NC State feels like a new low for Florida State and it certainly is for Norvell. He's tried to get this team to get back on track, but for what feels like the 100th time, people are convinced that he's not the right man for the job.
