Florida State is trying to generate a solid high school recruiting class for the 2027 cycle. The Seminole fan base wants to collect a top-ten ranking during Mike Norvell's tenure and see what is going on in Coral Gables with high-quality talent.

The program wants to emphasize being able to utilize its high school prospects instead of constantly being able to lure in transfers from the transfer portal. The 2025 recruiting class was a prime example of hope being emphasized in playing time for the youngsters, with Mandrell Desir, Darryll Desir, Ousmane Kromah, and Jayvan Boggs having extensive snaps.

The Seminoles are trying to have magic in their 2026 recruiting class. The defensive trenches will likely have to be relied on with Florida State, where they added eight defensive linemen.

Florida State could attract four-star Sam LeJeune with the young talent that plays on the field in 2026

Florida State's coaching staff could generate traction with its talented prospects if the youngsters are playing on the field. Four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune is someone that the Seminoles are heavily pursuing.

LeJeune is from the state of Mississippi, and the Florida State fan base knows all too well how difficult it is to get prospects out of that territory, with most of them signing with Ole Miss or Mississippi State.

The Seminoles will get an official visit from LeJeune on the weekend of June 12th, but Mississippi State can get the last laugh on the weekend of June 19th. However, LeJeune did take an unofficial visit today to watch spring practices.

This is a top-75 prospect in the country (according to 247Sports Composite rankings) that Florida State needs to grab immediately. LeJeune is listed at 6'3" and 280 pounds, so he could be a hybrid defensive end and defensive tackle with his skill set.
