FSU FOOTBALL SUCCESS
There have been too many great linebackers to come out of Florida State. The position sets the tone for the defense as a whole. Violence, aggression, and physicality come to mind when thinking of the Hall of Famers like Derrick Brooks and Marvin Jones.
However, over the past couple of years, the Seminoles have not had the same mindset with their linebackers. Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune were fine players in the Garnet and Gold. However, most fans want a linebacker who can have those bone-crushing hits.
In the loss against Virginia, individuals began discussing the need for the Seminoles' linebackers to come up in space to stop the production of running back J'Mari Taylor.
TOP PROSPECT VISITING
It's Florida State-Miami week, and the emotions are high for this rivalry game. Both teams want to set the tone for bragging rights and recruiting advantages.
Florida State is already trending for a potential tight end prospect that is committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2026 recruiting cycle, but the Seminoles could have even more talent on its way for the 2027 class.
The Seminoles are rated as the eighth-best recruiting class in 2027 by 247Sports Composite rankings. They have four prospects committed, with four-star defensive backs MeKhi Williams and Bryce Williams, as well as three-star defensive back Jemari Foreman and three-star tight end Connor Winn.
Florida State looks to continue stacking talent on the defensive side of the football as five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson from Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida, will be in Tallahassee this weekend for the Seminoles' matchup against Miami.

This is a talented linebacker prospect who is rangy and can get after the opposing quarterback. When evaluating film, Henderson has a nose for the football and isn't afraid to be physical. He would be a nice fit in defensive coordinator Tony White's scheme.
