Shine Light On Oklahoma's New Offensive Coordinator
The Oklahoma Sooners had a different offensive coordinator when Jaden O'Neal committed a year ago. Oklahoma parted ways with him mid-way through the 2024 season and hired a new offensive coordinator from Washington State after the season.
Oklahoma has openly pursued four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley while O'Neal has been committed. O'Neal ranks as the No. 14 QB nationally and Bentley ranks as the No. 10 guy. There isn't much difference from a rankings standpoint, but they have differing skill sets. Both can throw and run, but Bentley is more apt to attack with his legs. However, O'Neal might have the higher ceiling as a passer, and a stronger arm to push the ball vertically.
I'd hone in on how Oklahoma doesn't respect his commitment since they've been pushing for Bentley's commitment. Bentley is entertaining LSU and could go there, which means Oklahoma might attempt to salvage the relationship with O'Neal.
