FSU GETS MASSIVE VICTORY

The streets of Tallahassee are wild on Saturday night as the Seminoles pull off the massive upset versus Alabama by a score of 31-17. Let's face it... Quarterback Thomas Castellanos was right. Alabama couldn't stop him, and Nick Saban wasn't there to save them.

The offense was doing everything that it wanted, where it finished with 382 total yards (152 passing and 230 rushing). It was an A performance by Florida State. Will it always be like that? Probably not. However, it was very fun to watch.

Saturday afternoon showcased a renewed spirit of energy within the Seminoles' fan base. The offense, under the guidance of Gus Malzahn, was clicking on all cylinders. Here are five playmakers on offense that need to continue to be utilized going forward.

WR MICAHI DANZY (3 ATTEMPTS FOR 56 YARDS, TD)

The Tallahassee (FL) native and redshirt freshman wide receiver Micahi Danzy has world-caliber speed that cannot be taught. He ran a 46.14 400-meter dash in track. That should translate to touchdowns on the football field, and Danzy did just that on Saturday afternoon during a 32-yard run midway through the second quarter to give the Seminoles a 14-7 lead.

RB OUSMANE KROMAH (7 ATTEMPTS FOR 31 YARDS)

News flash: Ousmane Kromah is the real deal. I put up a hype train for the true freshman running back for good reason. These are lofty expectations for a youngster who just enrolled in the university in the summer, but Kromah is someone that the staff pursued and acquired from Georgia. Coach Malzahn had a solid game plan for him in his debut, which included a powerful 15-yard gain.

RB CAZIAH HOLMES (2 ATTEMPTS FOR 7 YARDS, TD)

I know there are too many mouths to feed in the offense, but we all know that offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn loves to run the football. The expectation was that transfer Gavin Sawchuk, talented former four-star prospect Ousmane Kromah, and veteran Roydell Williams got the carries, but redshirt senior Caziah Holmes got his time with a four-yard touchdown in the third quarter to give Florida State a 24-7 lead.

ATH JAYLIN LUCAS (6 ATTEMPTS FOR 22 YARDS)

It made me so frustrated when head football coach Mike Norvell sat in the post-game conference as the Seminoles lost to Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland, where he highlighted that Florida State didn't use Jaylin Lucas properly, and wanted to use him against Boston College the following week. Still, he suffered a season-ending injury versus them and then had to battle back. Just like Micahi Danzy, you cannot teach that elite caliber level of speed.

TE RANDY PITTMAN JR. (2 RECEPTIONS FOR 18 YARDS)

Florida State tight end transfer Randy Pittman Jr. knows offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn's scheme like the back of his hand. This is because he formerly played for the UCF Knights. However, he didn't do much on Saturday other than block for his teammates. I expect him to be more involved in an aerial attack over the next couple of weeks to get himself involved in their game plan.
