Fans should give credit to defensive coordinator Tony White and his unit

This Florida State football defense is a dangerous unit.

FSU FOOTBALL FANS CONFIDENT

It is difficult not to get excited about this Florida State football team after defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide by a score of 31-17. It was a shocking result by ESPN analysts Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy.

However, fans already know that both individuals are certified Florida State haters and only care about the SEC and its crowned jewel, Alabama. The Crimson Tide had a dominant performance against Louisiana-Monroe, where they scored 73 points.

They enter the week playing the Wisconsin Badgers at home. This isn't a Wisconsin team that many of the oddsmakers are worried about, as they were 20.5-point underdogs on the road.

ALABAMA BOUNCE BACK

We already saw that head football coach Kalen DeBoer was shaken by the Tennessee Volunteer fan base mocking him with the war chant. It was a funny moment for the Seminole faithful to share in the moment with the Volunteers.

With that said, Alabama didn't have any success against Florida State's defense under the guidance of coordinator Tony White. The unit was physical and aggressive, especially in run support.

The Crimson Tide only had 87 rushing yards in the matchup against Florida State. Then redshirt junior quarterback Ty Simpson looked like a scared true freshman in the rowdy Doak Campbell Stadium.

Alabama looks to be cruising on offense in the first half against Wisconsin as they lead by a score of 14-0. Wide receiver Germie Bernard already has two touchdowns (one of the only pass catchers that did anything versus Florida State).

If this doesn't give you confidence in defensive coordinator Tony White and Florida State, I don't know what will. This could be a Crimson Tide squad that contends for an SEC Championship if they defeat Georgia on the road in two weeks. This should be a moment for Florida State fans to buy stock in the Seminoles' team.
