With the college football season around the corner, fans are excited to see their teams in action. Before the season starts, players and coaches get several days to speak with media members.

ACC Media Days is from July 15 to July 17 at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown in Charlotte, N.C. This gives players the chance to say certain things that are on their minds, and senior receiver Duce Robinson expressed some feelings that will be felt among Seminole fans everywhere.

Robinson was asked how much he wants FSU to be good again and his answer was perfect.

"College football is better when Florida State is at their best. That's just a proven fact. You could go ask any single college football fan. You can ask a Miami fan if college football is better when Florida State is good. And I promise you they'll say yes. They might hate us, but it's undeniable right?"

That same sentiment is felt among all Florida State fans. And it's great to see Robinson say that with his chest during his media session.

Duce Robinson wasn't afraid to say what Seminoles fans were thinking

The Seminoles are three-time National Champions, with titles coming in 1993, 1999, and 2013. During the most recent championship in 2013, Robinson recalled Kelvin Benjamin catching the go-ahead touchdown in the title game to give Florida State a 33-31 lead over Auburn.

Fans are desperate to get back to that territory. And even though Robinson has only been with Florida State for one season, he feels that so passionately.

"I just want to be a part of that turnaround because of how much Florida State means to me. But then also because of how much they've given to me. Like they've given me the world. Like I said, they've changed my life."

Florida State gave Robinson $1.5 million in NIL for 2026, making him the highest-paid offensive player. Yet aside from the money he got from Florida State, he has fully embraced the culture of being a Seminole.

That's what makes Florida State a special place, especially when the Seminoles are rocking. Unfortunately, that has been the case over the last two seasons, logging a 7-17 record between 2024 and 2025. The best time under Mike Norvell came in 2023, when they went 13-1 before falling to Georgia in the Orange Bowl.

While they didn't have the ending that everyone associated with the program wanted, the energy and vibes were sky-high. Having Florida State as one of the best teams in the nation gives extra juice and fire to the entire college football landscape.

That's what every Florida State fan wants, and as Robinson called out, the sport is in a better place because of it. That's what makes the current outlook on the program led by Mike Norvell frustrating.

Fans want the program back at the heights it had during its glory days, but they have work to do. Having players like Robinson in the fold, who care deeply about the school, goes a long way. They need to continue building the program with players who have the same mindset as Robinson if they want to return to the top of the college football mountain.
