FSU FOOTBALL
Florida State football will be taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, August 30th, at 3:30 PM in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium. The fan base is excited about the improvements to the stadium. This is surprising since many long-time season ticket holders were upset that they lost their spots due to the west side chair backs.
Obviously, the fan base wants to see the team perform well after the 2-10 record last year. It was disappointing and not the standard, but the Seminoles have an opportunity to redeem themselves against a Crimson Tide squad that finished 9-4 in 2024.
Individuals have been wanting the garnet-filled end zones after the entire 2024 season had the garnet text outline with the grass endzones. The concern had to be damage to the sod, plus the cost that is associated with it.
With that said, Florida State was able to purchase new sod for the stadium. This will likely give a safer playing surface and one that will last longer.
MICHAEL ALFORD HINTING AT THE END ZONES
It is already exciting enough that the Seminoles have cool additions to the stadium that fans will enjoy, but then you add garnet end zones on top of that *chef's kiss*. This could be something that would be cool to insert in a 2025 season
I don't like to post just any rumor at ChopChat, but Florida State Athletic Director Michael Alford posted this GIF that has me believing that Doak Campbell Stadium could be getting garnet end zones for the Alabama season opener.

This would be the icing on the cake to have Florida State football be successful in 2025 and then have garnet end zones. Gosh, watch out, world! The Seminoles could be dangerous!
