FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State football finds a way to win another game on Saturday as they secure a victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes by a score of 66-10. The Seminoles are putting the 2-10 campaign of 2024 in the rearview mirror.

Last year's team was so concerned with proving the doubters wrong after the College Football Playoff snub, with a one-loss Alabama team getting in over an undefeated Florida State squad. However, that was a horrible approach played with the wrong mindset.

It might have been the nail in the coffin when legendary head football coach Nick Saban called the Seminoles "one of the best defensive lines in the country" in the offseason. Florida State was losing Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, and Fabien Lovett Sr., so the production was bound to take a hit.

JAMES WILLIAMS SHADE AT NEBRASKA

The Seminoles' defensive line did not perform up to expectations in 2024, so the program went out and hired Nebraska's Terrance Knighton to be its position coach. Then, they added former Cornhuskers' pass rusher James Williams.

In a limited role at Nebraska, he recorded 14 tackles (six for loss) and six sacks during the 2024 season. However, the fan base expected much more from him since he would likely carry the load to be the top pass rusher on the defense.

The Nebraska faithful is still frustrated that Williams transferred over to Florida State because of this fan on Twitter (X).

This individual still has Williams on his mind. They should've had the Cornhuskers on their mind instead, as Nebraska lost to Michigan by a score of 30-27 at home.

Williams couldn't help but clap back at the comment by the fan, where he mentioned that the program "could've used me today". The pass rusher recorded four tackles and a tackle for loss. Even though he hasn't recorded a sack yet, Williams is pressuring the quarterback. Eventually, the effort and dedication will lead to a sack.

I bet Nebraska fans will think twice before attacking Williams on social media again.
