NEXT TO COMMIT TO FSU FOOTBALL?

Florida State football is sitting as the 27th-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle after four-star defensive lineman James "Tank" Carrington committed to the Seminoles on Monday afternoon.

The Seminoles don't want to stop there as they have twelve prospects in the class. The fan base has been critical for the high school recruiting efforts under the head football coach Mike Norvell era. Some think that Norvell values transfers over recruits, and it feels like the fans think that high school recruiting is hopeless.

Nonetheless, Class of 2026 three-star linebacker target Noah LaVallee from Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia, announced on social media Monday afternoon that he will be announcing his commitment tomorrow (Tuesday, June 17th) at 12:30 PM EST.

THOUGHTS

It should be noted that three-star linebacker Noah LaVallee's brother (Caleb) is a current linebacker on the Seminoles' roster. This is encouraging because Noah already has a familiarity with the Florida State program and what to expect.

The Seminoles already have four-star linebacker commit Karon Maycock in the fold, but he announced recently that he will be making a final decision next month, which always gets fans worried that he could flip.

I like that the coaching staff is being proactive in getting other recruits committed rather than waiting around to see what Maycock does. I like LaVallee as a prospect. He is very productive in high school with 124 total tackles last season. I don't expect him to be an LB1 in the class, but if he were the third player at the position in the class, then I would take him at this moment.

The Seminoles have a chance to get LaVallee over the Ole Miss Rebels. That would be a big victory for the program if Florida State were to get him.
