FSU RECRUITING CONTINUES ITS HOT STREAK
Florida State's recruiting class in the 2026 cycle has been getting many updates this summer as the coaching staff has hosted several highly-touted prospects for official visits. The Seminoles rank as the 22nd-best recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite.
However, the number could change if a couple of recruitments go their way. One notable prospect that could be making his decision soon is Class of 2026 offensive lineman Luke Francis. He is originally from England, but he is playing his senior year at Coral Gables Senior High School in Florida.
THOUGHTS ON FRANCIS
Noles247's Zach Blostein and Brendan Sonnone have put in crystal ball predictions in favor of Florida State on Sunday morning for Francis.
The overseas native's recruitment has started to see a jump, as he has received offers from Florida State, Georgia State, and Syracuse. The Seminoles offered him on Wednesday after his performance at their Big Man camp. Then he received an invitation to come on an official visit this weekend.
He has been in communication with the coaching staff for a while now, but the traction is starting to pick up. I wonder how putting Francis at offensive line would be because he is used to playing on the defensive line.
The recruitment reminds me a lot of former Florida State player Antavious Woody, where he was probably a better defensive lineman, but the Seminoles recruited him on the offensive line. Woody eventually transferred out of the program, so I hope this is a better experience for the program this go around. ,
Overall, I like the frame of the talented trench player. I hope that he is featured more on the offensive line during his senior year at Coral Gables Senior High School so that he can get more experience and familiarity there (if Florida State gets him to commit).
