MASSIVE MOMENTUM FOR FSU FOOTBALL
Florida State recruiting for the 2026 cycle has to be at an all-time high after the Seminoles defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide this past Saturday by a score of 31-17. There is a portion of individuals who think the Seminoles are just a "transfer portal destination".
However, many true freshmen made an appearance in the season opener and the program put on display that youngsters will have significant snaps if they help the team win.
The 2025 recruiting class looks to be a hit, but the Seminoles have to continue stacking productive hauls together. Florida State has the 13th-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
LINEBACKER COMING ON BOARD?
Florida State's coaching staff had a couple of prospects make their way to Tallahassee for the Alabama game. This shaped up to be an amazing atmosphere filled with excitement as the Seminoles got the massive win.
The defense, which was led by new defensive coordinator Tony White, played sensational, as the Crimson Tide only had 87 total rushing yards and made quarterback Ty Simpson uncomfortable. Plus, the linebackers were coming downhill quickly.
The Seminoles have three linebacker prospects in their recruiting class for the 2026 cycle in four-star Izayia Williams, three-star Karon Maycock, and three-star Noah LaVallee. Some of the fans thought that they could be finished with the haul, but the coaching staff had four-star DQ Forkpa on the visit.

On3's Chad Simmons stated in a recent video that he believes that Florida State is probably in the lead for Forkpa, which is insane to think about. The talented linebacker was once dreaming about being the Garnet and Gold, to then being a heavy Florida Gator lean, and then potentially picking Michigan after the announced delay.
There seems like a ton of variables in the recruitment. While I believe that Florida State fights to get him in the recruiting class, it could be a roller coaster ride until he makes it to Early Signing Period.
