BOOM!! 6'7" JUCO WR Jordan Scott commits to Florida State on Thanksgiving
Florida State's recruiting class was consistently taking a hit as prospects kept dropping like flies. The Seminole fan base remained hopeless as they lost pledges such as Tramell Jones Jr., Byron Louis, CJ Wiley, Daylan McCutcheon, Malik Clark, Javion Hilson, and Myron Charles.
The Florida Gators have been a topic of discussion as they had massive victories over LSU and Ole Miss. However, Florida State is sitting at 2-9 on the year and there does not seem to be a positive end in sight.
Individuals thought that head football coach Mike Norvell might be in over his head. While I am a believer in his vision for the program, I have to admit that this is not the standard at Florida State.
Florida State was sitting as the 46th-best recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Seminoles are hosting four-star defensive end LaJesse Harrold (LSU commit) and four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace (Arkansas commit) this weekend.
That is great and all, but Florida State needs prospects to commit to the university as the Early Signing Period happens between December 4th and 6th. Unfortunately, the Seminoles have not hired an offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, or wide receivers coach yet.
With that being said, I do think that Coach Norvell has informed the commits and targets who they are potentially hiring. On Thursday afternoon, the Seminoles got a Thanksgiving surprise as Class of 2025 three-star JUCO wide receiver Jordan Scott from Southwest Mississippi Community College has committed to Florida State.
The talented playmaker is listed at 6'7" and 215 pounds and was previously pledged to Arizona State. This was a massive pickup (no pun intended) for the program as they look for wide receivers to build for the future.
