Florida State's football recruiting efforts for the 2025 cycle were not going well after the program finished with a 2-10 record. The Seminoles need to find a spark in its class as it looks to get back to respectability.

The path to sustainability could be quick. Head football coach Mike Norvell stated in a recent media session that he thought that this would be a quick fix to repair the Seminoles from the struggles that they are facing.

I always thought that the way Florida State was going to get out of this mess was to acquire talent via the recruiting trail and transfer portal. The Seminoles often fell in love with the transfer portal and took risks instead of not developing in-house with some of the high school prospects that they had gotten.

Florida State is now trying to right their wrongs and get back on the right track. Early Signing Day is here, and the Seminoles got a massive commitment at midnight from three-star JUCO defensive tackle Tyeland Coleman from Northwest Mississippi Community College in Terry, Mississippi.

The Seminoles have another defensive tackle committed to the fold in four-star Kevin Wynn, but the talented defender is looking at other schools, such as South Carolina and Georgia. He recently got predicted to the Gamecocks.

As a result, it is a smart move to get a JUCO with a 6'4" and 285-pound frame that has experience. Coleman was originally supposed to make his commitment the day before but decided to delay the announcement. It was likely because he wanted to talk to new defensive coordinator Tony White before making it official.
