It goes without saying that the recruitment of 5-star quarterback Kavian Bryant might be the most important in Mike Norvell's tenure at FSU.
So to get this potentially program-changing prospect on campus out of the gate is massive.

The rumors had started a few weeks ago when word got around that Bryant was highly interested in the FSU program and was considering making it on campus early in the season. Now we know he will be at Doak Campbell Stadium, and it's time to put the full press on the blue-chip prospect from Palestine, Texas.
Bryant has been in this spot before
This isn't the first time Bryant will be in Tallahassee. He was on campus for a junior day back in February and the coaching staff was all over him. There have been comparisons to Cam Newton in terms of skill set, which fits right into Gus Malzahn's wheelhouse, since he was Newton's offensive coordinator back in 2010.
It goes without saying that all the big-time programs have reached out to Bryant, and it's early in the process. But for FSU it can go from being early to being late real quick. That's why making a great impression next weekend is so important. The Seminoles putting boots to backside against Alabama would be great, but Bryant has to see the vision and see himself as a big part of FSU's future plans to win and get back to the top tier of college football.
Bryant leaving Tallahassee with FSU in his top group of schools, whether that's the top seven, top five or whatever, will also get the rest of the best prospects in the 2027 class on the recruiting radar.
It's time to open those wallets
Listen, college football in 2025 is a different game. We already know this. Bringing in a five-star prospect at quarterback is not going to be cheap. Competing with schools like Texas, Michigan and even the big bucks being thrown around at Texas Tech means FSU is going to have to come out the gate with a strong, competitive offer.
Getting Bryant on campus for a big game on opening week is a major coup for Norvell, Malzahn and the whole staff. Now the next step is establishing the Seminoles as the team to beat.
