FSU head coach Mike Norvell has experienced some amazing highs and the lowest of lows in his first five years in Tallahassee.

FSU went undefeated in the 2023 regular season, won its first ACC Title since 2014, and should have made the four-team playoff.

However, 2024 is the lowest the FSU program has been in most of our lifetimes, and Mike Norvell's extension earlier this year is likely the only reason he'll be the head coach at FSU in 2025.

It would cost too much to fire him and pay the 60+ million dollar buyout, hire new staff, AND remain competitive on the player acquisition NIL front.

The FSU administration will give Mike Norvell a chance to fix the mess he allowed to form in 2024. That process started with the firing of both coordinators about a month ago.

Many FSU fans felt like Norvell was a dead man walking during and after the 2024 season. I didn't think it was impossible, considering the mess he inherited and the obstacles he had to overcome in the first two years.
