Florida State football will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, this week to take on the NC State Wolfpack at Carter-Finley Stadium. It’s a place that has been unkind to the Noles over the past quarter of a century, and FSU hasn’t won there since 2016. FSU was somewhat lucky to win that game.

Both teams become eligible with a win, and FSU enters the contest as -4.5 betting favorites. The over/under points total is 61.5. Those odds imply a 34-28 FSU win.

NC State has a solid offense, but its defense is uber-bad. It’s one of those games where FSU wins if the FSU offense plays up to its potential, but that’s been a struggle on the road for the Noles this year. If the FSU defense can limit the NC State offense, it’s a game that FSU could blow out the Wolfpack.

No FSU fan expects that to happen because FSU never seems to play well in Raleigh. It’s a night game on a weird night, and their fans will be amped up. It’s a solid atmosphere for a program that’s only won 10 games once in its history.

Here are five defensive keys that could lead to an FSU win(if the offense shows up).
