I want to be completely honest with this assessment. Florida State's football season was a disaster in 2024. It finally came to an end on Saturday when the Seminoles lost to the arch-rival Florida Gators by a score of 31-11.

I think I am in the majority when I say that this season's end couldn't have come quick enough. Head football coach Mike Norvell seemed to have misevaluated the Seminoles' roster construction (that is an understatement).

Nonetheless, Norvell kept mentioning that change was coming. Most individuals were wondering what that would look like. Some thought that he would do something that would make him comfortable, such as hiring an offensive coordinator and not giving the reins to the offense.

However, the headman made headlines when he decided to hire UCF head football coach Gus Malzahn to be the next offensive coordinator at Florida State (hiring not officially announced yet). This had to be a difficult decision, but it seems like it could bring positive recruiting momentum.

Here are three commits from the Knights that could make their way to Tallahassee after the hiring.
