Florida State football defeated 1-11 FCS opponent Charleston Southern by a score of 41-7. The Seminoles were 33.5-point favorites at home, and they did what they were supposed to do.

This is Florida State, and the standard is the standard at this proud university. The Seminole fan base should never be satisfied over just beating an FCS program that struggled the majority of the year. However, we can point to the positives that were displayed in what was the Seminoles' second win of the season.

Head football coach Mike Norvell wants to forget this year ever happened, just like the players, support staff, and fans. However, you are what your record says you are (to a degree). Florida State understands that it has to take monumental leaps to accomplish success like it did in 2022 and 2023.

With that being said, I want to discuss my takeaways from the game on Saturday.
