OL MARCELLUS MARSHALL

Florida State's offensive line was responsible for making the Seminoles' offense one of the worst units in the country. With that being said, offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has been fired from his duties.

Atkins was a tremendous recruiter who knew how to connect with a variety of recruits. However, when it came to developing the players that he had on the roster, it became a bit of a question mark.

The Seminoles decided to bring in a new offensive coordinator in former UCF head football coach Gus Malzahn. Malzahn has been known to have high-powered offenses that focused on running the football effectively. The Seminoles recently hired UCF offensive line coach Herb Hand.

Hand has been all over the place in the last 20 years and has been a real developer with the offensive lines that he has possessed. One name to monitor that the Seminoles offered on Monday was UCF senior offensive guard Marcellus Marshall. Marshall was a second-team All-Big 12 selection in 2023 and was solid in 2024 as well.

The Seminoles need experienced and capable bodies on the offensive line.
