UNCERTAINTY FOR FSU FOOTBALL
There is uncertainty surrounding the Florida State football program after its recent loss to the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday night. For the brave souls who stayed up to watch the contest, it is widely known that it wasn't pretty by any means.
This has made the rumors swirling about head football coach Mike Norvell being more and more true by the day. It looks to be only a matter of time before it happens. The Seminoles' fan base is starving for success, and if Norvell is fired, they want the replacement to be a slam-dunk hire.
That being said, Florida State football is in danger of suffering six losing seasons in eight years, and the program has to get back on the right track soon so it doesn't turn into a meaningless program. I never thought that I would reflect on the 2026 season after seven games, but here we are.
This is a list of three players on the Seminoles' football roster that they have to keep on the team for 2026.
RB OUSMANE KROMAH
The Seminoles battled the likes of Georgia and Auburn to acquire former four-star running back prospect Ousmane Kromah. This was a playmaker that Florida State had to have in the recruiting class. His quick burst, explosiveness, and power showed in high school. However, fans wondered how that would translate to college, where he has 45 carries for 396 total yards and one total touchdown. Even in a "crowded" backfield, Kromah is producing and is only getting better.
WR MICAHI DANZY
This is a spot where I could have gone with true freshman wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, who the coaching staff and players hyped up this offseason. Boggs will be a good player, but wide receiver Micahi Danzy is the second-best pass catcher on the team with 19 receptions for 436 yards and two touchdowns. He is a Tallahassee native with game-changing speed. They cannot let him leave.
DL MANDRELL AND DARRYLL DESIR
I realize that the Desir Twins are two separate individuals, but the true freshmen have been impactful on the defensive line this season. They have combined to have 22 total tackles and three sacks. Just imagine if they have another offseason to grow their skill sets. The trenches are important in today's landscape of college football, and the Seminoles cannot afford to let them walk.
