DE L A JESSIE HARROLD
Florida State's defensive line has been a weak spot for the program this year. They applied pressure against Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson in Week 1 to make him feel uncomfortable. However, defensive coordinator Tony White has not got much more from the unit.
There have been bright spots such as Mandrell and Darryll Desir. The Desir Twins were discussed all offseason by this coaching staff, but some individuals thought that the defensive line was going to be a work in progress since they were hyping up two three-star prospects.
However, the Miami natives have been players that fans hope that the Seminoles could keep from other suitors this offseason. While the Desir Twins have been good, there needs to be more pieces than just them.
One prospect that the fan base was excited with in the 2025 recruiting class when signed was former four-star defensive end L A Jessie Harrold from Gaither High School in Tampa, Florida. It was a bit odd that the Seminoles were able to get Harrold since the Tampa area has never been nice to the program, as the Gators get more recruits in that location.
Harrold has not played much this year, and even appeared on the injury report last week. If he is healthy, I would like to see the defender play in the remaining games.
