CB JERRY WILSON

Florida State's secondary played well in the game, where wide receivers Ryan Williams and Isaiah Williams did not perform up to their expectations. The young but talented defensive backs for the Seminoles were thought to be a sneaky strength of the team.

However, the fan base did not want to put much faith in them after the 2-10 disappointment in 2024. The secondary was not the main issue with the defense. With that said, new defensive coordinator Tony White emphasizes the importance of physicality and aggression.

This was needed for a squad that only forced four interceptions last year. The Seminoles decided to acquire former Houston cornerback Jerry Wilson, who recorded four of them in 2024 by himself with the Cougars.

Wilson did not do too much versus Alabama on Saturday (four tackles), as defensive backs such as Earl Little Jr., Ja'Bril Rawls, and Ashlynd Barker were more noteworthy. However, I expect the veteran to get going sooner rather than later.
