FSU FOOTBALL DEFENSE

Florida State football is currently on a three-game losing streak against Virginia, Miami, and Pittsburgh. This has been a frustrating turn of events for the fan base that thought that the Seminoles were real championship contenders in the opener against Alabama.

There might have been narratives that were spread when the squad still had a ways to go. As it stands, the 2025 version of Florida State is significantly better than the 2024 team's 2-10 record. However, the fan base wants to figure out by how much.

The Seminoles acquired 44 newcomers to their roster this offseason and added six new coaches to the staff. This is a ton of change for a team to endure.

I realize that offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn gained a ton of traction after the Seminoles' offense in 2024 was abysmal. However, the issue is now centered around defensive coordinator Tony White, whose unit allowed opposing offenses 36 points per game during the three-game losing streak.

As a result, I want to highlight three players on the Seminoles' roster that could change the narrative of the defensive unit.
