FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State will be taking on the Virginia Cavaliers on the road Friday at 7 PM EST on ESPN. This will be a pivotal game for the Seminoles to win since it is the first conference game, and it is right before the arch-rival matchup against Miami.

There are high expectations for the program after Florida State's season-opening victory against Alabama. Some individuals thought the game would be a "blow out" and then they backtracked their comments by saying the Seminoles are "back".

This is the frustrating part in college football media, in that no one is willing to admit when they are wrong. However, the good news is that the Seminoles are a confident bunch that doesn't need someone praising them.

The program dealt with trying to prove the doubters wrong in 2024, and it didn't pan out well. However, the Seminoles are taking care of business in 2025. In this article, I want to highlight three players on the roster who could break out midway through the season.
