FOUR-STAR LB DAWSON MERRITT

Florida State's recruiting class has a ton to be desired. The Seminoles only have one linebacker prospect committed to the fold in four-star Ethan Pritchard.

Pritchard has been pledged to the Seminoles for a while now. However, with the season that Florida State had, the program thought that the defender could look elsewhere like the other de-commits that the Seminoles have had.

He has stayed the course. It would be recommended that the Seminoles have more quality linebackers in its rotation for the 2025 season. Florida State's linebacker play has been solid with the play of Justin Cryer, Blake Nichelson, and Omar Graham Jr.

It would be wise for Florida State to pursue an option such as four-star Dawson Merritt. He has only been committed to the Cornhuskers since November 14th. The defensive coordinator change could open the door for him to move elsewhere, especially if Florida State does not get four-star Tavion Wallace.
