FORCE A TURNOVER DEFENSIVELY
The defensive unit has been a bright spot for Florida State this year. Unfortunately, it has not been discussed enough since the offense has been historically bad.
Defensive coordinator Adam Fuller has his defense playing at a high level after losing players such as Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, Fabien Lovett Sr., Kalen DeLoach, Tatum Bethune, Renardo Green, Jarrian Jones, and Akeem Dent in 2023.
The defense could have easily taken a major step. However, they seem to be up to the challenge of doing the best they can, regardless of the moments of adversity. Unfortunately, the defense has had its fair share of negatives.
We already talked about the importance of the defense getting off the field. But fans want to see the defense forcing turnovers to give the Seminoles' offense favorable field positions. The disappointing part is that the defense has only forced THREE turnovers through eight games this season (that is not good).
If the Seminoles want a chance to win this game, they will have to create turnovers to give Florida State's offense the best chance to score with a good starting field position.
