Can you feel the thought of Florida State football inching closer and closer?
We are twenty-two Saturdays away from the Seminoles taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide in its season opener in the newly-renovated Doak Campbell Stadium. That might seem like forever, but it will be here before we know it!
Florida State will be doing its best to wash the 2-10 season in 2024 down the drain. That is not the standard of the Seminoles' proud football program.
Fans are cautiously optimistic that Florida State can turn the narrative around. However, if anything taught us about last year, it is that individuals want to see it before they believe it.
Florida State will be welcoming in several contributors just like they were a season ago. It is a scary thought to imagine something new being implemented on the roster. Plus, the program does not have a Spring Showcase this year and the media is not able to have access to spring practices.
It is a hopeful thought that the Seminoles did make changes to the coaching staff, so the way that the players will be taught is different.
Head football coach Mike Norvell has a monumental 2025 campaign coming his way. He understands the urgency of getting the program back on track after the trainwreck of last season.
In terms of the Alabama Crimson Tide, they will be welcoming a new signal-caller after having to replace veteran Jalen Milroe. Then there is pressure for second-year head football coach Kalen DeBoer after replacing the legendary Nick Saban.
Just when you thought the Seminoles were the only ones with the pressure, Alabama's fan base starving for championship success as well.
Florida State football is listed as single-digit underdogs from a variety of sportsbooks, so it looks like the general public could have some hesitancy about Alabama's new pieces as well as Florida State's improvement from 2024 to 2025.
Nonetheless, I am excited about the contest on Saturday, August 30th.
