FSU football hosted several players on official recruiting visits over the weekend. It was a mixture of 2024 high school prep and transfer players.

One of those players was three-star defensive tackle D’Nas White, hailing from Concord, NC. The defensive tackle position has long been a major need in this class. White has been a coveted target for the Noles, attending summer camp in June and he attended a game in October.

White ranks as the No. 683 player and No. 73 defensive lineman nationally. He ranks as the No. 22 player in North Carolina, which is also home to 2023 defensive tackle signee Keith Sampson. White lists at 6′ 3.5″ and 327 pounds.

He holds offers from others like South Carolina, Tennessee, Miami, Louisville, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Florida, East Carolina, and others.

He’s not expected to announce a decision until Early Signing Day on December 20, but two crystal ball predictions favoring the Noles rolled over the past few weeks.

White indicated the Noles were among his top two teams with Early Signing Day approaching, and the suitors were Miami and Tennessee. FSU and Tennessee only have one defensive tackle committed so far. However, White has not officially visited Miami or Tennessee. The only other school he has used an official visit with is South Carolina.

That’s usually a good sign for a team, getting the last official visit among the final three teams in the mix, and the other two teams didn’t get an official visit.

I like White as a prospect, but he’ll need to put some work in with the strength and conditioning program to reshape his body if he signs. I’d like to see him drop to about 300-315 pounds.

If that happens, I think he can become a contributor on the defensive line after a redshirt season or so.
