Wide Receiver

This position will likely lose a lot from the roster before its all said and done. Johnny Wilson has already declared for the NFL Draft, and I’d expect Keon Coleman to announce soon. Those are the two leadig receivers from this year’s team.

FSU does have some young talent like: Hykeem Williams, Destyn Hill, Goldie Lawrence, and Vandrevius Jacobs. Others like Ja’Khi Douglas, Kentron Poitier, Joshua Burrell, Darion Williamson, and Deuce Spann have some game experience.

However, the latter five have all battled injuries over the past year or two, and I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one enters the portal. FSU has a talented crop of high school receivers committed while continuing to chase the No. 1 player nationally, Jeremiah Smith.

However, I think it’ll be smart for the coaching staff to take at least one proven and experienced receiver from the portal.

I’ve documented how difficult it is for freshmen receivers to contribute, even if they enroll early. This position will likely depend on what the coaching staff decides at QB, but we’ll touch on that later.
