FSU football will have several players planning to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal between now and the bowl game.

Many of these names should be expected as they haven’t earned much playing time as upperclassmen or have already gotten passed on the depth chart after year one.

FSU will continue to be one of the top teams acquiring top players from the transfer portal, while likely signing a top three high school group of players in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

The list of FSU football players entering the transfer portal is below:

12/4/2023

12/6/2023

12/7/2023

12/11/2023

12/14/2023

Most of these guys played in spot duty or never got on the field in any real capacity. Duffy got passed up by a freshman, transfer Kyle Morlock got more reps than Douglas, Campbell was a former walk-on, and Brown-Turner was a last minute addition to the 2022 recruiting class.

FSU has talented guys coming at all of these positions in the 2024 recruiting class, not to mention who they may add from the transfer portal.

I plan to keep updating this list as more players enter the transfer portal. I wouldn’t be shocked to see others who fit this mold enter their names.

I would look for players from the offensive line, wide receivers, defensive backs, linebackers, tight ends, defensive ends, and defensive tackles.

Mike Norvell and the coaching staff significantly improved the roster talent over the past couple of years, but there’s still a lot of dead weight that needs to be removed to increase the level of talent across the board.

I know that sounds unsympathetic or vicious, but that’s the name of the game if teams want to increase their margin for error in games. I know FSU will look to the portal for several positions, so be on the lookout for that news as it becomes available.
