3. Virginia Tech

Florida State and Virginia Tech are no strangers to each other.  Since the late 90s, they have established some sort of rivalry after Florida State defeated them two years in a row for the National Championship in 1999 and 2000.

From that point on, the battles between these two teams have been intense.

Jordan Travis brought his A-game against the Hokies with 18/24 passes, 170 yards, and two touchdowns.

Just like in the Syracuse game, quick drives with many points led to success.  Travis had no problem commanding the field especially in the passing game, finding Johnny Wilson for two touchdowns.

The Hokies defense did not have an answer for the gunslinger.

What was really impressive was Travis’ leadership and his ability to stay poised despite ridiculous calls by the refs and unsportsmanlike behavior from the Hokies’ defense.

Even after he was targeted in the head with no flag called, Travis remained composed and set the example for his teammates which paid off in the end.

Leadership is a crucial quality for quarterbacks.  Without a doubt, Jordan Travis is the epitome of a great leader which makes him special.
