WR Johnny Wilson

It was certainly a grind-it-out offensive performance for the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday night as they only accumulated 224 total yards. Redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker only completed 12 of his 25 passes for 134 yards. However, the Valdosta (GA) native had one safety valve that he turned to, 6’7” Johnny Wilson.

Wilson had six receptions for 64 yards. While that might not seem like a ton of yardage, the former Arizona State transfer helped the offense continue their drive at the start of the third quarter where Rodemaker completed a 12-yard pass to the big-bodied Wilson on 3rd down & 12 to eventually give the Seminoles a 14-12 lead.

Someone needed to step up, and Wilson ensured that the Seminoles remained undefeated on the season.
