Ability To Overcome Adversity

We’ve seen it from this football team all season. They got behind against Clemson 17-7 in the first half on the road earlier this season.

FSU got behind Duke 10-0 in the first half earlier this season. They were behind Northern Alabama 13-0 last week before they scored 58 unanswered points.

Saturday night was no different as the Noles were down 12-0, with four minutes to go in the first half. However, once the Noles cut the lead to 12-7 at halftime, I never felt we were going to lose the game.

Florida squandered some major opportunities to score, and I knew the FSU defense has been lights out in the second half every game. I needed the FSU offense to wake up, and I figured they would after that 90-yard 10 play touchdown drive before halftime.

Mike Norvell says it all the time, but this team is built to overcome adversity. It’s such a stark contrast to the program when he took over in December 2019.

It was good to see this was still the case, even though Jordan Travis wasn’t on the field.
