FSU football: Score prediction/analysis for FSU-UF
FSU football will be taking on their arch-rival Florida Gators in the regular season finale. The game will be played at Ben-Hill Griffin Stadium at 7:00 PM EST on ESPN.
This contest will look drastically different as the Seminoles and Gators will both be trotting out backup quarterbacks as Jordan Travis (ankle) and Graham Mertz (collarbone) suffered injuries that will sideline them.
As a result, Florida State will be starting redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker, while Florida will have redshirt freshman Max Brown at the helm.
The Seminoles defeated the Gators in last season’s matchup at Doak Campbell Stadium by a score of 45-38. Quarterback Jordan Travis certainly made his presence known where he had 383 total yards and two touchdowns. It was a Florida team that came into the contest with a 6-5 record, while Florida State had an 8-3 record.
While individuals always say that this a “rivalry game and anything can happen”, this is Florida squad that has suffered four straight losses to Georgia, Arkansas, LSU, and Missouri.
Seminole fans are certainly wondering how backup Tate Rodemaker will perform in his second-ever collegiate start. The Gators’ defensive unit has been vulnerable at times this season where they allow 235.1 passing yards per game (86th in the FBS).
It should be noted that Florida will be energized playing in front of a sold-out Swamp, plus the Gators will have to defeat Florida State to obtain bowl eligibility. The fight and determination will be there to ruin the Seminoles’ undefeated season.

Well, well, well… We have another staff prediction sweep on our hands. Let’s hope we don’t jinx the Seminoles’ effort to go undefeated in the regular season. If Florida State finds a way to defeat Florida on the road, they should have supreme confidence heading into Charlotte to face off versus the Louisville Cardinals next Saturday. As we have been saying all season, if the Seminoles win, they are in.
