QB Tate Rodemaker

It is the next man up mentality for the Florida State Seminoles as redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending injury in their last matchup versus North Alabama. In comes redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker, who will be making his second-ever collegiate start.

Head football coach Mike Norvell and company will likely attempt to simplify the game plan to ensure that Rodemaker gets the football out of his hands. Florida’s defensive unit will be looking to generate pressure early and often. On the other hand, the Valdosta (GA) native is in his fourth collegiate season. It certainly helps having that experience at quarterback, rather than an inexperienced underclassman option.

While most quarterbacks elect to transfer to other schools if they are not getting playing time right away, it is amazing to witness Rodemaker fight through adversity to where he finally gets his moment to shine.
