Florida State fans will certainly be sad to see redshirt senior cornerbacks Renardo Green and Jarrian Jones leave after this season. Plus, it is unknown as to what redshirt junior cornerback Fentrell Cypress II’s plans are, also.

As a result, sophomore Azareye’h Thomas will have to step into a meaningful role. The Niceville (FL) standout appeared in 11 games in 2022 where he recorded 14 total tackles (two tackles for loss) and one interception. During the 2023 season, he has 16 total tackles and 0.5 sacks.

Thomas would have had an interception earlier in the season when the Seminoles played the Virginia Tech Hokies, but the turnover was called back due to a penalty. It would be beneficial to playing the talented former four-star prospect as he will likely be a starter in the secondary for the 2024 season.
