DE Jared Verse

The former Albany transfer Jared Verse had one of his best statistical performances versus the Wake Forest Demon Deacons where he had two sacks and two tackles for loss. Opposing offenses have been double and even triple teaming Verse this season.

The ultra-talented defensive end elected to return to Tallahassee for the 2023 season to elevate his NFL Draft stock. While I am unsure as to whether or not he has elevated it enough to his liking, Verse has made a sizable difference to a defensive line that has generated pressure this season to make opposing quarterbacks cautious.

The Pittsburgh offensive line allows two sacks per game (63rd in the FBS). As a result, Verse and the Florida State defensive line should be able to have some success from their six-sack performance against Wake Forest.
