FSU basketball is back! With all of the success the football team currently has, fans are hoping that momentum carries over to the basketball court. Last season, the Seminoles finished with a disappointing 9-23 record and missed the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year. Luckily, it’s a new season to regroup and focus on a better season ahead.

Losing key players like Matthew Cleveland and Caleb Mills is huge for a team like the Seminoles. Both were starters and played a big role offensively.

As always, Seminoles head coach Leonard Hamilton had to regroup and figure out how to provide new opportunities for deserving players.

The Noles played their first exhibition game Sunday afternoon and defeated Flagler College 90-74.

While the Saints at one point had in the second half, Florida State closed on a strong note and took care of business on their home floor. During the contest, there are a few takeaways that Seminole fans should be proud of.
