2023 CFP Rankings: 3 major takeaways from initial rankings

I like potential matchup with Ohio State
Let’s say things somehow hold true, and FSU remains at No. 4, and Ohio State defeats Michigan to hold onto the No. 1 spot.
That would mean FSU would face Ohio State in the first round of the College Football Playoff. I think FSU matches up the best with the Buckeyes compared to any of the other two teams currently in the top four.
FSU has the best passing defense in the country and limited and LSU offense that’s arguably the best nationally.
Ohio State’s offense has been lackluster in several games, and their QB is the weakest of the three other teams. While their defenses have been lauded as one of the best, they have yet to face an offense as dynamic as FSU.
The three best offenses they’ve faced are Notre Dame, Maryland, and Penn State. Notre Dame’s offense has beaten up terrible teams and has been limited against teams like Duke and Louisville. Maryland was held to fewer than 30 points against Illinois and Northwestern.
Penn State averages 5.19 yards per play and is fairly one-dimensional.
