Special Teams

Special teams is the unit that usually never gets talked about unless something bad happens, but that won’t be the case here.

The FSU kickoff unit answered with a monster touchdown after Duke had taken a 17-7 lead. Deuce Spann took the ensuing kickoff 99-yards to bring the FSU crowd back to life and trim the lead to 17-14.

Rodney Hill had two kickoff returns, with a long return of 27-yards. FSU kicker Ryan Fitzgerald remains perfect on the season, connecting on a 32-yard field goal early in the game.

FSU punter Alex Mastramanno only had one punt, but it went for 40 yards.
