WR Johnny Wilson

Here comes Johnny… The Florida State Seminoles missed their star wide receiver in last Saturday’s 41-3 victory over Syracuse as Wilson went down with a lower-body injury against Virginia Tech and did not return to the game. Thankfully, the Seminoles did not need his presence against the Orange as former Michigan State transfer Keon Coleman recorded nine catches for 140 yards and a touchdown.

While I believe that Coleman will have a good performance against the Blue Devils, I think that big-bodied Wilson will be just what they need against this stout Duke defensive unit. Defensive coordinator Tyler Santucci and his defense ranks No. 2 in the FBS in red zone defense.

It could be tough sledding for an FSU offense that is used to finding success deep in opponent’s territory. But being able to have the option of throwing it to 6’7” target Johnny Wilson could make the Seminoles in the red zone.
