Four-star DE Booker Pickett Jr.

Just in case you didn’t notice, the Seminoles are in need of defensive linemen for this recruiting cycle. Florida State currently has two defenders in the trenches committed in the fold at this moment in time with four-star defensive end DD Holmes and three-star Jamorie Flagg.

As we have seen with Jermaine Johnson II and Jared Verse, the defensive end position can drastically change the outcome of a football game with being able to disrupt the opposing team’s quarterback. Unfortunately, the Seminoles have had their fair share of misses with prospects such as Keldric Faulk, Nyjalik Kelly, Marvin Jones Jr., Tyre West, Gabe Harris, and Trevion Williams (just to name a few).

FSU can redeem itself on the recruiting trail with picking up the likes of four-star Booker Pickett Jr. from Wharton High School in Tampa, Florida. The talented defender has combined for 223 total tackles (51 tackles for loss) and 70 sacks during his four-year high school playing career thus far.

The arch-rival Miami Hurricanes hold the crystal ball prediction advantage. Can the Seminoles be able to win the pivotal recruiting battle?
