FSU football: Time announced for Noles’ home contest versus Duke next weekend
FSU football has been the culprit of being selected for noon contests this season. Unfortunately, they have had to play the likes of Boston College, Clemson, and now Syracuse this weekend during the noon time slot.
On Monday afternoon, the Seminoles announced that they will playing their contest against the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday, October 21st at 7:30 p.m. est on ABC, or 8:00 p.m. est on the ACC Network.
This will mark the second night home game of the season for the Seminoles as their first one came when they played the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday, September 9th at 8:30 p.m. est.
FSU had a tremendous offensive output where they were able string together a massive 66-point performance, which is the most points scored in a game during the Mike Norvell era.
Not to mention, I know that Seminole fans on the visitor side of Doak Campbell Stadium (non-shady side) will be ecstatic in not having to deal with the sunshine in their eyes all game. It will certainly be a refreshing moment for spectators as they recover from the heat during this week’s noon contest against the Syracuse Orange.
While this matchup against the Duke Blue Devils may not have the same luster it possessed two weeks ago (due to quarterback Riley Leonard having a high ankle sprain), this football team is still a quality opponent that embarrassed the Clemson Tigers at home on opening weekend by a score of 28-7.
FSU has had its fair share of success against the Blue Devils. Let’s hope that continues as the Seminoles continue their run of excellence. They cannot afford to look ahead in the Duke matchup because they have two straight road games versus Wake Forest and Pittsburgh.
Head football coach Mike Norvell certainly has this football team heading into the right direction, and the future looks bright in Tallahassee.
