Kalen DeLoach Sack/Fumble Recovery Touchdown
If Ryan Fitzgerald’s kick helps keep you in the game, the play above from Kalen DeLoach is the play that gave you some confidence that FSU would win the game. If you want to talk about a swing of emotions? This play is the play.
Clemson had just run a huge 40+ yard run and was into FSU territory. It’s late in the game, and it looked like Clemson scoring a touchdown was inevitable. However, two plays later, Kalen DeLoach comes streaking toward Clemson QB Cade Klubnik.
It looked like he was coming in slow motion, and you thought the blitz might be there too late like the rest of the blitzes Adaam Fuller dialed up.
However, DeLoach crushed Klubnik and fumbled the ball, and DeLoach winded up scooping it up to return for a touchdown to tie the game 24-24.
It was a huge game changing play, one that sucked the life out of the stadium in half a second and gave the Noles all the momentum to snatch victory from the jaws of death for the first time since 2013.
