FSU football: Score prediction/analysis for FSU-Clemson
FSU football head football coach Mike Norvell and company understand the magnitude of what will take place on Saturday afternoon as the Seminoles will face off against the Clemson Tigers at 12:00 PM EST in a hostile Memorial Stadium on ABC.
Florida State will be looking to beat Clemson for the first time since 2014. While the Tigers have already suffered a defeat against the Duke Blue Devils by a score of 28-7 in their season opener, this is still a football team that the Seminoles cannot take lightly.
FSU football is looking to continue its positive momentum from earlier this season when they defeated LSU by a score of 45-24 and Southern Miss by a score of 66-13, respectively. The recent 31-29 victory against the Boston College Eagles had some individuals skeptical of this team’s ability to be championship contenders.
However, there is not a bad victory in college football. The name of the game is to survive and advance. That is what the Seminoles did last Saturday, and now they possess a 3-0 record. Meanwhile, the Tigers are 2-1 with wins over Charleston Southern and Florida Atlantic.
Could this be one of the most inconsistent offensive teams that Dabo Swinney has had at Clemson? They have been breaking in a newer quarterback with Cade Klubnik (yes, I understand that he started last year when they had DJ Uiagalelei), and their wide receivers have not emerged in the offense quite yet. However, their offense is still super talented and led by running back Will Shipley.
This game is one of the biggest contests in quarterback Jordan Travis’ career thus far. Can he finally get over the hump and escalate this program to new heights by dethroning Clemson in the ACC?
CHOP CHAT STAFF SCORE PREDICTIONS
It is that time of the week as we at ChopChat bring you our weekly staff score predictions. I want to shoutout to our very own Nick Andre for being the closest to guessing the Boston College score prediction last week.
Disclaimer: My TV almost felt the wrath of my remote from the near fourth-quarter collapse.
Anyway, let’s get into the predictions versus Clemson.
•Taylor Devers: 34-24 FSU
•Kelvin Hunt: 38-27 FSU
•Jason Zang: 31-20 FSU
•Nick Andre: 37-24 FSU
It is a clean sweep yet again from the staff. Let’s hope we don’t jinx anything, and the ‘Noles can come away with a victory where they can rest up during the much-needed bye week.
